چکیده
Microalgae biomass can produce high quantities of biochemicals that be used in various applications such as biodiesel, biogas, and aquaculture feed. The potential sterilizing wastewater for microalgae-based treatment on a lab scale is well introduced. However, the operation cost large-scale microalgae cultivation plants if using sterilising growth medium. present study aimed to evaluate Scenedesmus sp., Chlorococcum aquaticum, Ankistrodesmus augustus, Haematococcus pluvialis non-sterilised domestic their pollutant removal wastewater. were cultivated different concentrations wastewater, collected from primary plant national sewerage company Malaysia. Each species’ capacity pollutants assessed. results showed cell density, maximum productivity, concentration H. pluvialis, C. aquaticum 100% significantly higher than standard Higher was obtained (815 g/L 775.83 mg/L); nevertheless, sp. yielded highest specific rate (0.798 d−1) productivity (99.33 mg/L/day). also achieved better efficiency total nitrogen (TN), phosphorus (TP), ammonia (N-NH4) with more 90%. All tested species successfully remove nitrogen, ammonium, reach limits set by Department Environment, This demonstrated grow while simultaneously removing effectively.

Bioflocculation technique for microalgal harvesting and wastewater nutrient recovery
Fungal assist microalgal cultivation is getting substantial considerations due to the highly efficiency of bioflocculation process without demanded of using chemicals and little bit energy input. Therefore, Fungi pelletization-assisted microalgal cultivation were applied for improving algal harvesting process and nutrient recovery as step wise for wastewater treatment. Two strains of marine mic...

The streams from municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) have been considered a valuable medium for mass cultivation of algal biomass. The aim of this work is to test and compare the performance of Chlorella vulgaris on several streams from five stages, from two different WWTP. The results showed biomass yields ranging from 39 to 195mg dry-weightl(-1)days(-1). The best performance as bioma...
متن کاملScenario Analysis of Nutrient Removal from Municipal Wastewater by Microalgal Biofilms
Microalgae can be used for the treatment of municipal wastewater. The application of microalgal biofilms in wastewater treatment systems seems attractive, being able to remove nitrogen, phosphorus and COD from wastewater at a short hydraulic retention time. This study therefore investigates the area requirement, achieved effluent concentrations and biomass production of a hypothetical large-sca...

Microalgal biofilms grown to evaluate potential nutrient removal options for wastewaters and feedstock for biofuels production were studied to determine the influence of bicarbonate amendment on their growth, nutrient uptake capacity, and lipid accumulation after nitrogen starvation. No significant differences in growth rates, nutrient removal, or lipid accumulation were observed in the algal b...
متن کاملMicroalgae Cultivation in Wastewater for Nutrient Removal
Wastewater is the spent or used water containing dissolved or suspended solids such as pollutants and microbes, including nutrients. The wastewater discharged into the water bodies are hazardous to environment and cause various health problems in human beings. Eutrophication is one such major environmental problem caused due to the discharge of nutrient rich wastewater into the nearby water bod...
